Hi everyone, I’m Alesha! I am proud to be the Centre Manager for Rotorua Community Creche & Kindergarten. I am married to Wayne who is an automotive tutor at Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology and we have two children who both attended the creche many years ago—Blake is now 21 and Kaden is 16. I have worked in administration for the last 20 years, with the last 12 years in the sports sector with Mid Island Gym Sports.
Please come and see me and say hello, I’d love to meet you!
I have been an Early Childhood teacher for over 20 years.
My husband and I are parents of four children who keep me busy when I am not at Creche.
I have been here at Rotorua Community Creche and Kindergarten since 2011.
I enjoy coming to work each day to be amongst a great team of passionate women. Every day when I see children with so much enthusiasm for learning I am reminded of what a privilege it is to be part of their learning journey.
I have a Bachelor of Teaching in Early Childhood. I also have training in many early childhood areas including tikanga Maori, management, science, storytelling, sign language and first aid. I was an early childhood teacher in the UK and have diplomas in other subjects.
My teaching interests lie in particular in art, communication and special/additional needs. My own children have given me experience in many areas. I have identical twins, one of my sons has dyslexia and dysgraphia, and another had autism, so I have interests in these areas too. I am always calm, approachable, smiley, happy and easy to talk to. Im inspired by all children, hope to inspire them in return to have enquiring minds and a lifelong love of learning. Im originally from England, and have liven in New Zealand since 2004. I am married to Philip, a high school teacher in Whakatane.
Kia ora koutou, Ko Kelley toku ingoa.
Rotorua has always been my home and my husband and I enjoy living here with our two children and several pets who keep us smiling (and busy).
I have worked in early childhood since leaving school and I am a fully registered teacher. I have my Bachelor of Teaching in ECE and my first aid certificate. As teachers we are always learning through the children, parents, professional development, and each other. Some of the professional development I have attended includes learning about the developing brain, movement with pre-school children, children with special teaching needs, language and literature,Tikanga Māori and more... I enjoy learning new ways to extend our children's learning through my practice. I have an awesome job that includes wonderful children, supportive families, motivated staff and a great management team. All this helps our tamariki become confident and capable learners, all while playing and having FUN!
Hello everyone, I am a relatively new teacher and therefore feel very privileged and fortunate to join the teaching team and lovely community at RCCK.
As a parent I spend a lot of time at kindergarten with my own children which lead to my decision to study. I have a Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) and since graduating, a little under 2 years ago, have spent time in a number of early childhood centres in Rotorua as a casual reliever and full-time teacher. I look forward to spending time, playing, having adventures and getting to know all the tamariki and whanau here.
Mahia i runga i te rangimarie me te ngakau mahaki
With a peaceful mind and respectful heart,
we will always get the best results.

Tena koutou katoa nga whanau o Rotorua Community creche and Kindergarten.
I am so excited to become part of the teaching team and look forward to forging positive responsive and reciprocal relationships with you the whanau and your tamaiti/tamariki.
I have worked in the Early childhood sector since 2008 and am a firm advocate for tamariki, whanau and kaiako.
I have two children of my own, Orson and Alani. We love to explore our whenua o Aotearoa, we love The Redwoods, our lakes, camping at the beach and making connections with friends, family, land and places.
Both of my children have come to Rotorua Community Creche and Kindergarten, both from the age of two.
I started as a reliever when my eldest started school and my youngest was still at RCCK,which turned into part time employment.
I couldn't think of any other job that would bring me so much fun and enjoyment everyday in the way of pretend play and trying new things...
I enjoy messy play, face painting and being creative. If I'm not at work you can find me at Spotlight or Ajay's sourcing items to inspire creativity.
